Dave Lynam

Dave Lynam has a background spanning 20 years in event ticketing and has been responsible for delivering digital products to the industry since 2010. In that time, Dave has managed products used during major sports tournaments such as the Olympic & Paralympic Games, UEFA European Championships and Commonwealth Games. Currently, Dave is the founder of Kaizen, a company that provides product and operational advice to organisations in the sports and entertainment sector. They also supply ticketing software. He is a former GA student, taking both Front End Web Development and User Experience Design part time courses. Having enjoyed the GA experience so much, he joined the instructional team on the Product Management course in 2015. In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Dave has been selected as a member of 老虎机游戏 Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

What is your favorite technical skill to work with on your own projects and why?
I like the process of understanding customer problems and working through them to prioritise and come up with solutions.
What is your favorite technical skill to teach to students and why?
Product Management - it's all about problem solving.
What is most important to you about teaching technical skills at 老虎机游戏 Assembly?
It's great to be able to help people who are looking to improve their skills to further their career.
What advice do you have for anyone looking to learn technical skills to reach new career goals?
Go into it with an open mind. Listen to everyone and take the best bits of all the advice that will help you to achieve your own goals.
What would you like to highlight about your experience in your technical domain outside of teaching?
I practice what do day to day & built an award winning product and company by following the process I teach.
